Mini holidays...

...in Madrid.

Visiting friends, which is always fun, enjoying the nights in the city that never sleeps, revisiting museums and, of course...shopping!!!!

I bought:

-a vintage flower dress
-a pair of Oxford shoes
-a pair of grey shorts
-complements

I'll show some pics very soon.

Until then, some interesting places to buy cool stuff in Madrid:

La Maison, cute store located in a stylish appartment in the coolest area in Madrid. Handmade clothes, unique pieces, cool hair complements and many clutches.

Retro City, vintage store runned by the two nicest shop assitants in Madrid. Good prices, excellent location, some interesting accesories, many dresses...actually the place where I bought my dress.

Corachán y Delgado, the best vintage store in Madrid. Simply fabulous, Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Balenciaga, many 20s items, so exclusive...But expensive (snif snif). The store is sooo beautiful, located in restored old wine shop.

Biscuit, the cutest store!! Full of girly dresses, handmade brooches, flower hair complements and the nicest pendants...everything is so unique here. Lovely lovely! (And they give you little cookies with dress shapes, isn't that cute?).

Award

My dear Acielle from Style du Monde nominated me for this award:

And that makes me really happy, especially when the award comes from Acielle, who has a great street style blog from one of the coolest and more fashionable cities, Antwerp. She does a great work and everyone who is interested in fashion should visit her. Thank you so much for this honour Acielle!! Things like this encourage me to improve my recently born blog.

Now I should nominate seven people with the award. I promise I'll do that, but I'm going to wait a little, because I'm not sure about the people I want to award and I've also discovered that many of the blogs I like already have the award. So I'm gonna take my time for this...

Pleated dress

I'm very happy. I've been searching for a pleated dress for a long time and I finally found the perfect one. I've looked in vintage stores, because pleated dresses are so vintage and I wanted one of those from the first half of the eighties or last seventies...just like some of the ones my mum used to have and never kept :(...I love to see all those old pics of her and her friends wearing those dresses.
But I never found the dress...until last week. And surprisingly it wasn't in a vintage store, but in Mango outlet. And just for 11 euros!!! It was great, I didn't expect to find such a thing in that store.

Because it looks sooooo vintage, don't you think? I love pleated dresses, and this one looks great combined with the right complements.

Vintage-ish pleated dress : Mango Outlet

I love the pattern...

Now it desperately needs a belt, which will be my next purchase. I haven't found one that looks good with the dress yet.

PS. Sorry for being out, my computer problem was worst than I thought but everything seems okay now, so I'm happy for that too. Thank you for your nice comments!

I haven't posted these days...

Because I'm having a mini drama. It seems that my computer is a bit "ill" and it's been impossible to post anything or upload pics.
But I'll be back tomorrow (I hope).

To all the sweet and very very nice people that visit me, thank you so much for passing by.
And thank you too to all the wonderful and stylish mademoiselles that wrote all the comments below. I read you, I admire your work and I can't wait to read your posts again.

PS. I'm also very very happy thinking of and preparing a very nice trip I'm doing in August...I'll tell you where very soon. I just can't wait!

Jackets I love

I've stayed at home this morning, being a bit lazy and also trying to tidy my wardrobe a little bit. I was also looking for inspiration for a post...and I found it.
I saw all the jackets I own and thought that I've been wearing some of them quite a lot lately because the summer is not being as soffocating as I thought it would be.
I like jackets quite a lot...especially wearing them unbuttoned.

So I selected the ones that I'm wearing very much these days, and took some pics (sorry for the bad quality) of them.
So here they are...the jackets I've been loving lately...

The pink ladylike jacket, actually new, bought on Saturday on the sales (haven't worn it yet but I'm sure I will, a lot) : Zara

The "strass buttons" jacket I wrote about here : Vintage

I love stripes...Black and white striped jacket : Zara

This one is really old and I didn't wear it for a long time, but rediscovered it this spring : Indian, bought in a hippy store.

Yes, the sailor jacket that everybody, I mean everybody or at least many people like :) : H&M

The doll shoes

Just a quick post to show the item I wrote about below...
I actually own a blouse by the misterious creator too...I'll write a long post about him and I'll show it there...

Guess who...

This is gonna be like playing guessing riddles...

I love love love these beautiful dresses that I show here...

Who is the creator if these sublime, delicate, super cute, porcelain doll like outfits?

Some tips...Haute couture in Paris.
It's quite possible that you don't know him, because he has only been seen in Paris for two seasons now...but I wanted you to know him, and I couldn't imagine a better way for that than my little blog...I'll tell you the answer in my next post (and I'll show you a piece of clothing by him that I'm very happy and proud to own...)

Old stuff found in a wardrobe

Bag : Unknown / Scarf : Unknown
Coffee : I'm an addict / Mini ice cream : Unbelievable hot summer

Have you ever looked back in your old wardrobe, during a visit to the family? Maybe you've been as lucky as I was, finding these two cute items lost somewhere there...I don't even remember wearing them, maybe they weren't even mine...but now that I've found them I'm so hapy and they are so pretty that I'm enjoying them as much as they deserve.
The bag is made of leather, and it's so small that I can only fit in it a couple of things. It looks lovely! So oldie, and so cute.
The scarf is made of a really fresh material, perfect for the summer. I love wearing it as a hairband.
Next time I'll explore the old wardrobes again...I'm sure they are full of precious treasures!

Tomorrow...

I'm leaving for the beach until Monday. To a pretty isolated beach, with no Internet, no stores, not even good mobile phone signal...just what I need right now!
I promise photos.

See you on Monday and be careful with your skin and the Sun, as I'll be :)

Wouldn't it be great to go to the beach with a swimsuit like Keira's? I want one!! And I also love the cap...Ladies were always so elegant, even at the beach or in a lake.

More sales

Of course...more shoes. Because I'm addicted to them, as many many girls all over the world. Why do shoes have such a magnetism on us?
These nice sandals were half price...How could I not buy them?
They look great with and without stockings, and they are very comfortable despite the high heel...I love heels, but some are hard to wear....which doesn't mean I don't wear them.

Sandals : Zara

So...do you have any "fashion addiction(s)"?

New arrivals (a.k.a I love you SALES)

The lovely Zara sandals, hanging out...

Sandals : Zara

Once upon a time, a sweet little girl decorated a doctor bag with pastel colours, brooches and a lot of cuteness...or maybe she found it in Hoss, one of my favourites...

Bag : Hoss Intropia

Sales time is here, yayyyyyy...and I'm so very happy with my two purchases of the day. Unfortunately, there were others that couldn't come home with me, because of various problems such as size, price, colours, etc...Maybe if I wait...
